[The John Kinsella manuscript collection] [manuscript], 1945-1994. 1945-1994.

Collection includes personal and publishing correspondence, manuscript and typescript drafts, notes, newspaper cuttings, photographs, a computer disc and a journal. The papers primarily date from 1989 to 1994. The collection features drafts for many of Kinsella's poems, including poems published in Night parrots (1989), Ultramarine (with Anthony Lawrence, 1991), Eschatologies (1991), Full fathom five (1993), Syzygy (1993), The silo: a pastoral symphony (1995), Erratum frame(d) (1995), The undertow: new and selected poems (1996), Lightning tree (1996) and Poems: 1980-1994 (1997). There are working papers for prose writings by Kinsella, including an unpublished novel 'Slide show', short stories, reviews and critical responses. There are also papers relating to Kinsella's literary journal Salt and the small press Folio (Salt). The collection also features papers relating to Kinsella's mother, Wendy Kinsella, who wrote under the name Elizabeth Kinsella.
